ISRO Successfully Launched Its Heaviest Rocket From Sriharikota
The Space Agency Of India ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) has successfully launched its Heaviest Rocket from a launching site off the Bay of Bengal in Sriharikota on Monday. The GSLV Mark111 can carry put a payload weighing more then three tonnes into the high altitude orbit occupied by the spacecraft that relay TV, telephone calls and broadband connections. The rocket will reduce the ISRO reliance on European Vehicles to launch Heavy Satellites, said Officials. The weight of the Heaviest Rocket is 640 tonnes and the communication satellite GSAT-19 weighs 3,316 Kg.
