The movie mints a fare amount of Rs 5.80 crore within three days and further stays strong at box office on the 4th day of its release.
The movie which talks about women empowerment in the patriarchal society, has got rave reviews from the critics. ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ which was touted to be ‘too lady-oriented’ had its share of controversies which included a stay on its release too.
However, after a prolonged battle with CBFC, the movie has come up with a fresh new plot which is driving a large number of people towards theaters all over the country.
