Ancient monastery renovated in Nepal

A 1,250 years old Buddhist monastery in Nepal’s famous tourist destination Muktinath has been renovated at a cost of Rs 2.85 crore.
The ancient monastery, Narsing Gumba, built from stone and mud, although repaired few years back, had started leaking and its walls had become wobbly.
Buddhist preacher Rimpochhe is credited for constructing this monastery at Muktinath, a famous pilgrim site which attracts thousands of Buddhist and Hindu pilgrims annually.
The monastery has been renovated at a cost of Rs 2.85 crore, said Muktinath Area Development Committee president Hira Bahadur Thakuri.
